Women In Research 2013

CU-WISE is continuing with its mandate to inspired and be inspired by presenting our third annual Women In Research. This event invites High School girls from the Ottawa are to hear first-hand from leading female researchers at Carleton about what inspired them to go into science and engineering. Women In Research takes place on December 13th in Loeb C246 (tunnel level) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will feature talks from Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Professor Dr. Cynthia Cruickshank, Biology Professor Dr. Angela Crawley and Electronics Professor Dr. Winnie Ye as well as our very own CU-WISE Co-Chair and Environmental Engineering PhD student Natalie Linklater. The event will close off with an opportunity for our invited guests to ask everything and anything to a panel of current science and engineering students in a session we like to call "Everything University" featuring the CU-WISE Officers.

Apply to Present at This year's CU-WISE Women In Research

On December 13th 2013 CU-WISE is proud to be hosting the third annual Women In Research at Carleton University. Women in Research aims to showcase Carleton's top female science and engineering researchers as a means to inspire female high school students from the Ottawa area to pursue science and engineering at University.

We are currently looking for senior undergraduate, graduate and faculty who are interested in showcasing their work via presentation, demonstration or hands-on activity. If you are interested or know someone who is please see our application form below! Deadline to apply is November 24th, 2013.

CU-WISE Women in Research


CU-WISE cordially invites you to the upcoming CU-WISE Women in Research event that is set to take place on December 6th, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in room C264 of the Loeb building at Carleton! This event aim’s to highlight the diverse research that the female undergraduate, graduate and faculty of Carleton University are actively involved in, in the hopes of inspiring a budding scientist or engineer.
