Title: Women and entrepreneurship
Abstract: Have you ever wondered if you want to be an entrepreneur? If you have the attributes to be one? Based on her background as an entrepreneur as well as recent studies on the topic, Hanan will reflect
on her career path from entrepreneurship to academia and discuss the attributes that makes women particularly suitable to be entrepreneurs as well as those that makes many shy away from even entertaining the thought.

optical long-haul networking company that employed 250 people at its peak. From 1994 to 2000, Hanan worked at Nortel Networks in different positions conducting research in various areas of photonics, ranging from device physics to optical networking. Hanan received Nortel's 1998 Innovation award for her work on wavelength locked lasers.
